this new unit is very cool, i haven't got to do any runs with it yet but i can tell it is going to be bad ***! the tach works right off your cigerate lighter and i did try that and it works. it gives tons of info and even keeps a log for you. seems to me i will be able to tune the truck by doing just 2nd gear runs, since it will keep track and chart it on a graph for you. this will save me from having to launch it everytime and will aso keep me from having to go 100+mph everytime i want to test.

the old unit i have cost $140 new plus shiping, i can tell you it feels prety cheap. there is one slider/push buton to control it and the buton feels so cheap that i only used the push part of it, i think if you used the slider part it would break before long. it works well for geting ET's but you have to make a full run on a very flat road and you have to level the unit. i tried it at the track and it was never more that .05 off. anyone want to give me $70 shiped for it?

i haven't got to do any runs because i have a bad tranny but just playing with it here on the desk it sure seems to be cool. i can't wait to try it out but all i could do no is get a 60' times, i might go out and do that just for fun.
