This converter is working exactly like it is supposed to. It just may be too loose for my taste.

how are your back road launches now that you can stall up to 3K?
and what are yor tranny temps looking like?

Trans temps stay at about 150 under normal driving.....and jump up too 180 after a "few" passes. It launches hard, but I have MASSIVE wheel spin.

the pt4200 in my z28 almost feels like i think you're describing...like it feels like it's not pulling very hard when you first get into it. but then i'll look at the speedo and it's climbing from 0-100 in about 8-9 seconds so it's obvious that it's pulling very hard.

thats kinda nice about 4wd. more rubber on the road.
Sounds like its a good thing you didn't go with that lower 1st gear!
what about 3.73's or bags-O-sand?
