So why does that fluid go through the TB anyways? Is there any purpose to it? I'll look at those lines tomorrow. Thanks
the coolant in the tb is for faster warm ups and to keep the tb from freezing if you are up north in the cold weather.

I have the Dynatech longtubes with a borla duel side split catback.
On a 5.3 it should idle about the same since mine idles rough right now.I have a almost stock tune right now so with a nicely tuned 5.3 it will idle about like what you heard maybe even better.
The fluid goes through it help prevent the tb from freezing up.But unless you have temps that are 20 and lower fairly often you never need to have it hooked up.

Oh........That sucks because it's getting really cold here now. I've been scraping ice off of my windshield every morning. I should probably leave that alone until summer time. As far as the exhaust goes then....I should probably just run 3in. back from where the y-pipe ends? I can't wait to get this cam kit now!

You may already be aware of this but you can buy the Dynatech headers without the y-pipe. You don't have to buy the entire SuperMaxx 'system', just the headers.

My exhaust consists of a SI/SO 3" Magnaflow, 3" single pipe with a Magnaflow 4" tip. If you'd like, I can email a sound clip to you. I didn't have the heads and cam work done when the clip was recorded but it still sounds pretty much the same.

Actually I didn't know I could just get the headers. Cool. Yeah, an exhaust clip would be great, because that is the exhaust I'm kind of leaning towards now. Thanks
