if you are a 1500 1/2 ton you have a 10 bolt rear axle

a high 14 should be possible with just the first 3 and id say a 14.2-13.8 with the rest (cam stall gears etc.)

Oh wow, didn't expect those times. 13's would be cool. It is a 1500, so for sure a 10 bolt? Do you know if the long tube pacesetter headers come in a smog legal one? Or any long tubes headers that are CA. legal? I've been trying to find some but there seems to not be that many that are. I saw the supermaxxs? and want those, but don't want to drop 1500 for headers/cats...lol

The posi unit is for the rear. I would'n't even need that at the track if I run 4HI huh? That would be mainly for traction while driving in 2wd?

i dont think there are any smoglegal lts for cali pm trever1t on that issue

im 95% sure on the 10bolt i dont think gm had a 12bolt in anything stock 10 bolt in 1500s, 14bolt 9.5"rear in ss and vhos and 14 bolt 10.5" rear in hds

pacesetters are definetely not smoglegal if you move the location of cats from stock its illegal in cali i think

in cali i think the jba headers are the best

Hmmm. That sucks. I was looking at the JBA's and these edelbrocks. Seems to be good quality and a very good price especially for being ceramic coated. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku Smog legal too

TR Cam(220/220 .551/.551 114) That cam seems perfect for what I want. I wasn't sure what the difference between 114 and 112 though? Both cams had the same specs except that part. Something about the lobe separation? Which one will sound the most "lopey"? 112?

im not too sharp about cams but i believe the 112 will lope harder, have the power lower in the power range, be harder to tune, have the power in a more narrow powerband

you might want to make a new thread to find out more about the cam
