Good cam for my mods.
#1
MY current mods are
243 heads
216 220 .560 .560 114lsa cam
Ported and polished 90mm throttle body
7.400 chromolly pushrods
Comp Springs retainers and locks
K&N CAI
Dynatech LT's Custom ORY (next week)
Magnaflow Catback (after LT install)
Yank TT3000 (installing Right before LT's)
Harris Speed Works Wet Nozzle Kit (100-125 shot)
HP Tuners
I am gonna install the LT's and yank in a few days. I am gonna be taking the truck for a good tune for the LT's yank and N20. I have heard alot of speculations on the cam i have right now. Some say its an ok N20 cam and some say theres better cams out there. I wanna know some your opinions on what would be a idea cam for my mods and nitrous. mabye on a 112lsa It is a Crew Cab Z71. The current cam i have now took some low end power away. Will the yank help that?...Also i have a set of GMPP Hyd roller lifter for 5.3 would it be a good idea to go ahead and change out the stock DOD AFM lifters?...i havent heard any bad news on them but the idea of them makes me think they couldnt be to strong.
I am kinna in a pickle here guys and i would appreciate your opinions on this and sorry for the novel...

im assuming you have 373 gears or lower?
absolutely no bigger than a TSP 224R. the cam you have now sound pretty good for a heavy z71, maybe a TR220. if you go to a bigger cam, you will lose more bottom end.

yup 373 with posi. the tr220 has for duration but alot less lift then my current cam. i myself think it would be wise for me to replace the stock dod lifters and maybe a lil head porting.

I wouldn't worry about a n20 dedicated cam since your only running a 100-125 shot, I'd stick with a good N/A cam. Generally a wider LSA is better for n20, but the TR220 only has .009" less lift (.551), which isn't anything.

i would not change the cam that is close to the cam we run in our 6.0s and that is close to the cam i ran in my 5.3 and ran 12.59,and the higher the lobe sep. is the better it is for n2o.
i would leave that cam in their.
