Default Gear Change w/ Predator

I think I have read that poeple are having trouble with the Predator not being able to change for the new gears. Has this been fixed? If mine does not work what should I do? 3.73 to a 4.10!

It will not be fixed until the next firmware update. If changing the tire settings doesn't set the speedo right then you will need to get a custom tune. I went from 3.42's to 3.73's with larger tire than stock. I had to get a custom tune because changing the tire sizes like they said caused my abs and brake light to come on when driving.

I had 255 70 16 and went to 285 50 18. I changed the tire size and the predator took it. I just went out a change the gear setting to 4.10s, even though I don't have them yet, and it took that too. But I did not feel a difference in both of them?! Is this what every one is talking about? Should I feel a shift point change?

All i can say is great job.nice Et's and great MPH for the mods.IMHO,you could spend your money else were for a better gain.Nothing wrong with 3.73 in a light truck.Lotsofun runs bone stock with 3.42s runs 14.8

goshawk23 got your mail!

The reason for the diff and gear change is, I found a lot of shavings last gear lube change about a CD size circle around the magnet. The gears look fine, but my G80 sucks now. It is very unpredictable. Also it is making clucking noises in and out of park. I will come to a light and it feels like I've been rear ended. The truck will feel like it squats and chunks! So I am replacing every thing. Getting a good deal, $100 for the gears $500 for the diff and install kit plus overnight shipping. and $200 for install. I was quoted at $1200! I think I could not pass this up. Since a bunch of us guys here in Columbus rented out a track, Oct. 17, unlimited runs all day!! I it is about 2 hours away and a roll back would cost me big bucks if my rear went out up there.
