Default Fuel injectors?

Hi all,
Thanks In Advance!

I have an 06 Chevy Avalanche with a 6.2 swapped. I’ve been having some fuel delivery/consistency issues and I’m hoping someone with a deeper pool of knowledge can help.

The Avalanche originally came with the 5.3 and is/was a flex fuel vehicle. Over the last few weeks I’ve gone through 2 fuel pumps and discovered a leak somewhere in the system (watching the static fuel pressure drop from 65 to 35 psi over about 5-10 minutes). I deduced it was a fuel injector or two but didn’t test them. The truck has about 250k miles with only about 30k on the 6.2. Not having removed an injector but upon visual inspection of the intake manifold I believed that the intake was from a 2012 Cadillac Escalade and I ordered the injectors for that application. After removing the fuel rail and an injector I now believe the injectors are from the original 5.3 as they are that size with the same colored o-rings.

my question is, the injectors I ordered are for the 6.2 Escalade but are shorter than the one’s I removed, will they still work in my application? I’d like to go a mild forced induction soon and was thinking the injectors for the 6.2 have a higher flow rate based on my understanding?

any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Garnett

Post the number on the injector, someone can verify if it's the correct one. Besides the injectors, a flex fuel pump has more output.

Im assuming they are part # 12609749 .....yes they will work but you will need to order some height adapters (Link below) to work with the fuel rail you currently have (the cheapest option) OR order the correct fuel rail for the shorter flex fuel injectors...

The fuel injectors that came out were 12656008. And the new ones were 19420316. I’m looking to get the 12656008 rebuilt.
