Default Injector question

I was told by the person who tuned my truck that...I should get Ford 42# injectors to upgrade. The reason...Ford uses a lower rail pressure, something in the 43-44 PSI range so when you plug their injectors into a GM fuel rail at 58-60 PSI they flow higher. Higher as in 45-48lb/hr. Also told the will fit just fine. Ebay sellers seem to agree on the fit but they weren't sure about the higher flow rates. Will this burn them up faster? I will need adapter no matter what injector I get because I have the flex fuel truck and the clips are different than most GM/Chevy trucks so this is not an issue for me. Opinions?

I have them in both my trucks and they support have supported over 500 supercharged RWHP although with my current dry N20 system they are showing their inadequacies. I am going to pull them out soon and go with some bigger ones.

It depends on your combo if they will be right for you, but I have had excellent results with them.

if you do that you will run out of fuel pump fast....I would suggest looking into a replacement pump......The Flex Fuel trucks have enough fuel pump for about what the Radix adds.....and I am not sure it is serviceable.

I hate Flex Fuel !

I was looking at that during the dyno tune. At WOT my fuel pressure dropped only once from 64 to about 62 and that was at 5600+ rpms. Would an inline pump do the trick or do I have to get into the fuel tank and upgrade to a bigger one? The bigger injectors along with a wet 50 shot would require what size pump? Can I go to big?

EDIT: The tuner had 60lb's for sale but he thought that would be overkill for my set-up.
EDIT2: How about one of these? Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump

Sounds good. Just how "easy" is it to install? Says it comes with a harness. And of course how much? You think this will support 44-60lb injectors and solve my problem? PM me if you can't give the price, but you are a sponsor now....

I have seen those injectors (FORD) used in many GM applications. I am currently using Delphi 50#ers in my Typhoon, as are many other Syclone/Typhoon owners, and they work great. I sell these injectors for $45/each shipped and insured all day long. I also have some 75# low-impedance injectors available (only 8 left) for the same price. I have sold over 100 of the 50's this year alone to the SyTy community, and everyone has been real pleased. These have all been flow-matched and are ready to go. They are rated at good for 100HP/injector.

So, I'm 99% sure I'm going to go with the 42# Ford injectors and I have a Magnuson Fuel pump booster on the way. As the truck sits now it tries to run lean around 5600rpm and the injectors are at 128%. I don't want the voltage booster to stay on, or come on, when not needed. I am looking at Hobbs style switches that come on at a certain boost level. I am thinking 5lbs would be a good guess. I never dropped fuel pressure during my dyno tune but with the new bigger injectors I am told I will lose pressure. The switch is adjustable from 4-15psi. I go into boost several times a day. Usually around 3 or 4 pounds, just normal driving.

My question is...What psi should I have the fuel pump voltage booster kick in?

I've got the 8.1L marine injectors (43lb) and the same inline fuel pump that radix uses and have no problems with fuel pressure at all. I'm pushing well over 400rwhp
