this thread is out-dated lol. do you have access to tuning software? if so, what is your IAC counts at? sounds like you got too close to the blade IMO. you may be able to plug the hole in your throttle blade and get it back where it belongs but it's doubtful. IAC counts should tell you for sure if your blade is pulling too much air now.

when doing a home port on a throttle body, take a sharpy and trace around the blade before starting. dont go near that sharpy line. also this thread says nothing about the half shaft mod to the throttle body. instead of cutting the EGR, remove it. also never remove the screen to your maf. if you want that extra 1hp just remove the MAF and do a speed density tune.

Bad IAC? Did you damage the harness at all when you removed it? At this point you might be better off starting another thread for us to help you with.

For the TB Bypass.....What size is the ID of those hoses? Be nice to know ahead of time that I can buy a pipe to connect the 2 without having to take it apart to find out, put it back together to drive to get the pipe, then take it apart again to do the bypass.

If I remember correctly I used a 3/8" fitting to connect the two hoses. You may want to wait until either I, or someone else can verify that though.

Why not just remove both hoses all the way to their opposite ends, buy 4 caps obviously clamping the 2 opposite ends down to the wet end (and the 2 on the throttle body itself are even optional)? That would eliminate the double ended connector & removes what ends up being 2 useless sections of hose.

The tube needs to vent to avoid steam pockets. Hence the existence of the tube in the first place.

The "cleanest" way to go about it would be to buy a new longer length of hose and replace the two seperate lines making for one clean line.

However, the barb cost me $.39 and that is good enough for me.

How does the tube vent? It isn't open anywhere so it just connects left to right & I'm not seeing how having the 2 sides connected is any different than them just being blocked off. And since it is for coolant water passage, it can't have a vent or the coolant would leak.

It vents between the heads to prevent hot spots and keep everything evenly heated/cooled.
