how effective is the coolant bypass mod? its the only one on the list (besides the maf screen) that i havent already done.

fairly effective feels like theres more throttle response...i like it lol

You will more then likely fill no difference (I didn't). The only benefit is it makes removing the throttle body easier, and living in TEXAS you really don't need it.

Something to remember on DBW throttle bodies when porting is that the blade moves forward and backward to find idle air. Its a good idea to move the blade by hand to completely closed position and mark the extremes of the blade position. This should be forward at the top and front of the blade, and slightly back at the bottom and back of the blade. I learned this the hard way lol.

sorry for buttin in so late but i didnt see "knifing the blade" for the throttle body in there, it also helps with throttle response

theres a page on the gto forums and the ehowto that say it also helps with response, i havnt done mine yet but ive done 2 of my friends throttle bodys but that was with the P&P so i cant verify with or w.o the blade knifed...response is way better though
