The reasoning makes sense... Just that I've done quite a few stock crank 1000+ builds with no oil pressure issues from the cranks. Could be differences in different production runs of the crank...

Exact thing happened when I bent a Forged K1 stroker crank. Still ran great, just ate the bearings and had low pressure. Ended up having 0.020" runout on journal #2 I think.

What caused the forged crank to bend?

Where is the stock crank made. Is it US made? Isn't the K1 a chinese product? Who says it's any better than stock. Much like the chinese head studs that have tested weaker than stock head bolts.

I thought these forged cranks could take anything we could through at them? I was thinking maybe you had something happen to cause it to bend. I won't have to ever worry about 1300# tq.

Although I am certainly sure the metallurgy maters, (US Vs.Chinese)

So does the tune up as well as the weight of the vehicle. I have seen stock Cranks bend at just under 600 HP and around the same TQ while others live around a 1000, no problem. Both in a RCSB in full trim.

I looked back through my logs to try and find the run where I bent the crank, but I am missing ~4 months and I think thats from when I got a new laptop then it got stolen, so...from what I remember, it was basically 20 degrees outside and 70-140 was something stupid like 5 seconds, never felt it move that fast before. It threw the belt off when I let off at ~145ish.
