I used pb blaster and had no problems. I was careful taking them off. didn't crank on them real hard. I'm thinking of getting new bolts tho, looks like crap with the rusted bolts and shiney headers. By the way i put on Pacesetters. working on the rest of the exhaust right now

It helps to use PB Blaster because as the bolts age and rust, they become very brittle. So when you start to torque on said bolt that is tight, it will break right off. By spraying them first you can help lubricate the treads and make them come out easier with less chance of breaking one.

My buddy and i had to extract them from the haed by drilling them out an PB helps a lot. And Use New Bolts age and heat make the stock bolts too brittle.. Also it's a good idea to get new nuts for the ORY where it connects to the rest of the exhaust.. Oh yea start it up open headder for a couple of seconds it sounds mean

Make sure the engine is STONE COLD as any heat in the engine will make the bolts more prone to breakage as the heads are aluminum.

I had to replace a few broken manifold bolts. Using a brand new pair of vice grips, it only takes an hour or so for each bolt turning it 15 degrees at a time.

I recommend new header bolts. I got mine from summit racing they have a special washer and c clip that go on the head of the bolt after it is installed. They are tear drop shaped and touch the header pipes so they can never loosen up. I've had mine on for a year without retorking them.
