I say fuel pump, reasoning is. You said you can cycle it twice and it will start, I've seen the anti siphon valve go bad and let the pressurized fuel drain back into the tank. That truck would start and run (not very well though) once you cycled the key twice.

Very unfortunate. I replaced this pump like 30k miles ago, 4 years ago maybe, and I never let it drop below a quarter tank. Just waiting to get off work to pick up a gauge to check and we'll know for sure...

Here is a video. I believe this is signifying the pump, correct? Seems like it.

Give it some time for the quality to go up. It's not a landscape video either sorry.

Why did you hook the vacuum back to the regulator?
IIRC you check FP with the vacuum hose (blocked) off of the regulator.

Everything I read just says pull it. They say that with vacuum unplugged pressure should spike up 7-8 PSI.

Edit: I also followed this video to diag the pressure regulator along with a couple other info guides.

Picking up a fuel pump today after work. It is supposed to be raining this week and my shop is fuel so probably will swap it over the weekend.

Replaced the fuel pump and still not fixed. The truck does seem to sort of idle better maybe and the pressure is definitely better, 55 when primed. Was 5 psi and a working fuel pump worth the $200 lol I will keep this pump around since it seems to still be "good" although not in spec.

So here is what I have right now:
  1. Truck will not crank over the first turn of the key. I have to crank then off then crank and it fires right up
  2. Truck seems to be running rich, I can smell it and there is white smoke coming out of the exhaust.
  3. No codes
Now I didn't test this twice but the first start up I let the truck idle for a few minutes and it seemed like it wanted to stall out and then finally came around and started to idle okay although it seemed rich and just not correct.

Here are the checks I have done:
  1. The fuel pressure regulator seems to be working. When I unplug it no gas comes out and the pressure on my gauge goes up.
  2. I pulled apart my intake and air box and it seems to be clean. Filter is clean and the air box was not obstructed.

I am at a loss at this point. Tomorrow I will spend time trying to get my AFR gauge to work properly. I think I am going to switch the fuse tap that it is on and put it somewhere else. It won't turn on every single time and when I connect the laptop it kicks the channel off of HPTuners. I may just have to get the ******* stupid pro link or whatever it is so that I can plug in the AFR gauge directly. I will try my old way of actually installing it though and see if that works.

Any ideas? MAF is kind of what I am thinking next, perhaps get a log and see what the MAF voltage is? IDK pls help me
