Your fans might not fit your radiator. The radiator on the 2000 Silverado is 28" and if the electric fans are 05+ then it's designed for a 34" radiator (not sure of the fans on a 04 escalade).

Escalade has a 34" radiator, so you'll need that if you want to run those fans. I got my radiator from RadiatorBarn dot com, and you'll need bolts to hold it or the fans in, can't remember the length and pitch though...

the advantage of the smaller pulley is to turn the alternator faster. the factory alternator on your truck is 105 amps while the factory alt for trucks equipped with efans is a 145 amp. the smaller pulley will hopefully help to keep from the fans draining your electrical system at idle...i know the smaller pulley worked great on my 105 amp alt so i threw it on my 145 amp alt when i swapped it in!
