E-fan PCM tuning ?
#1
I want to do 05 e-fans when I swap in my cam, but with the cost of the radiator too, I don't know if I'll be able to swing it.
Do you think that I would be okay if I had my PCM programmed to turn on the fans without them being there? That way when I get them I could just plug them in and be ready to go without needing a re-tune.

I just purchased e-fans from G&R Auto Parts in Oklahoma City...same company that I got the 145amp alternator from ($100 shipped ebay). $224 shipped to my door. I just purchased them yesterday, so they'll probably be here next week. Here's the website: http://www.gandrautoparts.com/ Go to the parts locator link at the upper left...I typed in for an 05 2500, and the fans are supposed to fit a truck or Avalanche. For some reason, the Tahoe fans are a different part number, but I don't see what the difference could be.
I'm probably gonna get a radiator from the Radiator Barn...it's less than $240 shipped. Then it's just a matter of gettin in touch with Bryan to get the PCM tuned and get a harness

Hard to understand without the punctuation, but I think you are saying the fans run all the time when the engine is running and when the engine is not running, neither are the fans. Is this correct? If so, then your problem is: Why are the fans running continuously when the engine is running?
This could be a number of things. Did you make the correct changes with Edit? What were the temps set at? Have you verified your wiring? The fans could be seeing constant power when the engine is running.
