Default Dynomax manual cutout quest.

Anyone put these on their truck?
The 3 bolt flange on them is floating....it rattles at idle and is getting very annoying, other than welding it in place what options do I have to keep it in place?

I am assuming it is rattling when it is being ran open? If this is the case you can put the bolts back in with a larger washer and it should tighten down and stop rattling.

well when you take the cap off, the flange is just free on the cutout. there's nothing to bolt it to with the cap off.

Buy a pair of collector rings and bolt them on instead of the cap when you want the exhaust open.

Wow, that's a really good idea. I was going to say to just machine a plate and bolt in place, but since they already make that!

A bolt through the flange with a washer should catch the pipe and stop the rattle.

that could possibly cause the pipe on the cutout to bend and cause a leak when it's capped off.
