Default Does it matter?

Just a question, I am trying to find a way to fit magnaflow replacement cats after long tube headers on a 2000 GMC Z71. What I want to know is if it matter how the cats are mounted, whether they are turned on their side. Also any ideas of how to go about getting them to fit? Thanks.

Put them wherever you got a straight piece of pipe where it can fit It don't matter if it's on its side or not, I don't think.

all that matters is the distance from the primaries. closer = works better = less likely to get clogged.
