Default detailed question about hypertech

does anyone know if it does the same programming for 93 octane on the 4.8 and the 5.3? like does it have different adjustment of the 5.3 than it does on the 4.8?

I believe its the same, you just get more out of the 5.3 b/c of the extra ci's.

Good question.
I don't assume it would have been too cost effective (on Hypertech's part) to make any drastic changes from 4.8-5.3-6.0 configurations.
Maybe someone with LS1Edit can post some before and after scans of 4.8 and 5.3 files?

good. will be getting ls1edit in the near future thanks to a good hook-up, thanks paul. j/w if we were to flash my 02 4.8 and his 01 5.3 with the same tuning how the trucks would react. would it mess mine up b/c it thought it was a 5.3?

The HPP3 just messes with the fuel so it should be the same. But if cody will let me, I still have access to my old white 5.3L. If I could borrow it I'll program it, read it, and put it back to stock. I'll also read his pcm with the HPP3.
