I hear you,

My whole point in the post was to get info and to have it available in the event another was Googling about flushing like myself. I failed to find the details we have came up with in this thread in my searches.

That is why I also included the pics and clamp info so they can see the possible pains.

For me it was not as much the miles but the age of the hoses and the coolant that perked me up. I had been strictly focusing on the low miles bragging rights, Heh.

Try to stick with Gates rubber if you can. I am impressed with O'Reillys stocking lots of Gates products. I asked for a length of heater hose yesterday and was happy to see the Made in the USA and the Gates name on it.
In my many years in the industrial maintenance trade, I have personally experienced first hand and time tested the superiority of Gates products against many others.
