The reason the SS is appealing is because it already has a 6.0L, it has the ext cab which is a must, and the optional appearance stuff is cool too. The AWD is also a plus. If I look for a 2500 ext cab, with 6.0L, and 4wd, I may be near the same price range as the SS.

Now that both tires will be putting the power to the ground, that should be the next time to the track.

Yep, the SS's come with alot of nice equipment and look good too. Probably would be about the same price. I'd buy the SS over that. I sold my 4wd this fall, and will be missing it the first time we get any real amount of snow. I don't think my 2wd RCSB will be much good in the snow even with the Eaton posi. Advantage 4wd.

there is always a cheaper way to go faster. . .

All that matters is what meets your needs, id rather dump more money into my heavier truck and have the luxuries that I have than be stuck in a single cab truck with nothing. It just depends on what you are looking for.

A more complete package is imporatant to those of us that want to finance the vehicle. If I had lot's of disposable income to make performance and appearance mods, I would start with a 1500 Ext cab and go from there. But I would like something that is already built for performance from the track.
