Yeah, I like those too. I've seen them selling for $8K off of MSRP around Houston. When they came out, they were selling for more than MSRP. Anyone want to buy a lifted GMC?

Todd, these trucks are great. I've got mine running mid 13s NA and should run low 12s on the spray, which isn't too bad for a 5000+ pounder. Although lots of guys didn't want the AWD system on the SS, I'm more than happy with it - traction is never a problem.

LS1 edit was the first mod on my SS. I have to use a speartech benchtop cable to program, but I couldn't live without Edit.

The SS's 4L65E trans should be stronger than a plain 60E. Only time will tell for me.

I like the all-wheel thing since I live in Ohio and we do get some snow occasionally There are some good deals to be found on the SS right now for sure. I already have edit, so I could prolly add the truck and get the adapter from SPeartech.

I'd prolly look at converter, heads/cam, headers, exhaust and be happy with that for a while, say a month or so

I think a Radix on top of that SS motor is the way to go!

That is my opinion of course

They are definately nice trucks with a lot of potential, they are heavy but with the right setup your gonna be running pretty quick. Definately do Edit and a converter. The converter makes a huge difference, especially when you never have to worry about traction problems. If you stay NA, get some LS1 fans and just make your own intake, that will be better than any of the other options out there. If you do a H/C setup of some kind of FI setup, you wont be dissapointed.

As far as a catback, i think your better off just doing your own at an exhaust shop. The stock exhaust is dual 2.75" all the way to the muffler so you can easily make a nice setup on your own for a decent price. Catbacks are too expensive IMO. I have a true dual Spintech setup with a magnaflow X-pipe on mine. A set of full length headers would be nice too.

oh yeah, and PROCHARGER all the way
