Actually, its a 2.5" header pipe and cat, that merges to a 2.75" pipe into the muffler.

If you can get by without 4wd, do what I did, buy a stripper and start from there. My 03 GMC RCSB cost me $18,500 out the door. With a UPD as the only mod, it ran 15.02 @ 90+ mph. I just got an Eaton posi in today, and I'm confident it should run in the 14.7x range whenever the tracks open again. I might even take the spare, jack, sub, and tailgate out for a bit of weight reduction. A Radix on my truck, with no other mods, would crush a SS with a bunch of money left in the bank account. Just another option, its your money, spend it as you wish.

I'd tell you more, but I'm not fast!

Yes, I have ASM's, cats/no cats (depending on if I have them in or out) 2.5" true duals, x-pipe, and 2 Magnaflow muffs dumped. You heard how quiet my truck was. Did't feel like opening the cutouts to run 15's

Hardtop - An SS does have a hefty pricetag comparatively speaking, but most of us were not too overly concerned about price versus potential speed on the track.

I wouldn't go that far.

I'm not slamming the SS, just giving another option. I would have prefered Chevy to have made the SS with a RCSB 2wd as a starting point, but hey that's just me. Light weight and simplicity appeal more to me. Its all good, just a different means to an end. Now where are those hemis hiding.

Don't turn this into a Hemi thread because I'll lock it.

Tex, I'm not flaming anyone, but what does a SS run stock? I haven't seen any run at the track around here.

Well, in stock form I guess my extended cab SS with its heavy AWD drivetrain would run about what your lightweight regcab 2wd truck would run.

I wouldn't go calling out Hemi's until you can get out of the 15s.
