Exactlly why im running a dual spring. Insurance of a second inner coil to catch the valve if the outter coil breaks.

What's the part number on those Cranes and how much are they if you don't mind? How long do you expect them to last?

144832-16 - springs
144661-16 - ti retainers
144460-16 - seats
and the seasl I got from Thudner.

They should last pretty long IMHO. The dual coil material isnt designed to be as hard as a single spring has to be. Plus the seat pressures are dam near the same as 918's open and closed, loads being spread over 2 coils. Rather than one stiff spring. So the Crane doesnt really have to work as hard.

How long do you guys think the 918s would last with a TSP "sleeper" cam...220/220 .581 .581 112??? Im thinking probably around 15K. Would I be better off with some Crane dual spring or some Comp 921?

Great man. But ive seen too many people run into problems with 918's. They will not be on my heads. Ever! They do not seem to last very long at all at high lift. And I want a dual coil!!!!!!!!!!!! Im not droppping a valve on top of a piston because of the slim chance a 918 might or might not break. Not a chance Im willing to take.

Traction. You wont need to coin up for the 921's. Price tag on those is isnt cheap. Crane duals will be perfectly fine. I am not up for changing springs every 15000 or so miles. Ill pass.
