Good, I had just heard (read) this too. I guess they recomend changing every 15000 miles with a fast ramp cam with close to .600 lift?? How will I be able to tell when mine need changing?

I'd like as much info on this as possible also. I did a bunch of searching at LS1Tech a while back, and the concensus was that annual valve spring replacement was an expected maintenance for high lift, fast ramp cams.

25K with a TR224 sounds pretty good to me....anybody else have any cam spec/mileage experience with the 918's?

bud, i think the biggest rool is in how hard you drive the truck. If you race every week, then of coarse the springs will weaken faster. I had 918's on my car for 2 years and about 20k miles... but i swapped those for duals now.

I think some have had as much as 30-40k on them, but it would be safe to swap them with anywhere from 15-25k on them. They might last forever, or one could go at 20k and cost you 4-6k in damage
