Question Colorado engine swap

i have a 06 3.5 colorado and have recently found that 08 will come with a 5.3. I have been wanting to to put a ls series v8 in my truck. i know people have already done it and i am wondering what modifications where done concerning mounts, drive train, if my stock computer is programable for that and if there is anything else i need to know. Does anybody have any experince, or real knowledge about that. Please no guesses

Check out current performance. They have mounts and wiring harness. You will need the computer from the donor car/truck. The rear end isn't the greatest, but it hasn't really been tested that much. The trans is a 4L60E but has a different bellhousing and input shaft, you can either swap those or the whole tranny.

Thats about it. Pretty simple now that the mounts and harnesses are available.

more information can be found here

nobody sells headers for the colorado V8 swap. current performance has been using stock manifolds for their swaps.

Why not just wait until the 08 comes out and buy one of those...might be more cost effective.
