Default Can you run LS6 intakes?

Just curious if you can run the LS1/6 or even the Fast LSX intake on these truck motors. Whats the differences in our truck intakes vs the other LS* style intakes?

yes you can run ls1/6 intakes on the trucks i here the ls1 will not really do much for the basic bolt on truck and the ls6 will do a little and the differences lie in the runner length i believe the trucks runner length is shorter (it is either shorter or longer not sure which someone will chime in) so if you went with a different intake i would go ls6

from my understanding i belive ls1 flows the worst then ls6 then truck intake then lsx
also the truck intake will have more low end to it than any of the intakes. sucks the intake is to tall for the cars

if you're going to change the intakes, get you a F.A.S.T. intake and matching throttle body

Besides the FAST and the bigger TB which might be worth the $-I thought that the truck intake was better than the LS1 inatke and damn near the same as the LS6 intake. Now if you have a LS1 its a different story. I dont know if the LS6 intake on a truck woudl be worth the $

I read from someone on here that the LS6 intake was developed for higher rpms since they are on high performance vehicles whereas the truck intakes were developed for the lower rpms to help with more torque down low.

If you want change intakes you'll need to change water pumps and make a few spacers and brackets.....
