Doug's-TOG's or Bassanis are the only legal mid length and they do not come with cats. Unfortunately Long tubes are not CA legal due to relocating the Catalytic converters.

 

Any movement of the cats from stock location is a violation, therefore making long tubes not legal for on-road use. The ones Neil mentioned are pretty nice though for a mid length.

Pacesetters LT's are not ca legal. The headers dont end till after the stock cat location, im not aware of anyway you can make them legal. midpipes are the way to go if you ant to stay legal.

 

I'm pretty sure pacesetter lt's are not smog legal. Just keep your stock exhaust so you can smog it. Just so everyone here knows, since I live in this wonderful car friendly state, I wouldn't dare use a product that is not CARB approved on the street "cough, cough". Only for off-road racing, of course.

Just look for a CARB #. This is the best indication of the headers compliance with California's emissions testing.

 

dougs and bassani's have a carb eo # but i dont know about tog's and both of them say they are emissions legal, but what do you have to do with the cats? do you just cut off the stock flanges and weld the cat to thiers? and isnt that going to alter the location of the cats, being mid-length? or do you have to fab up a new y pipe with 2 new cats?
