Vacuum & hard start like starter dragging or timing advanced a little too much

Get that new timing light and get that timing corrected before going any further. Its definitely got too much timing if it's hard to start when hot.

So you dont know your afr, you dont know your timing, but youre asking for our suggestions????

Well yeah & you've got me going in the right direction,I appreciate it I really do,been out of turning wrenches for quite some time & got back into it but I'm older & the memory isn't like it used to be

Yeah I was thinking 300'ish give or take,sometimes it's small things a person can look over several times & someone else can easy see or know how to correct it

should be good for around 400 horse man... like said get timing and WOT a/f dialed in before going any further

Obviously the timing was too high,got my timing light on it & backed it back down,the dizzy has 22 degrees built in so I set it about 14 degrees idling,that's all I had time to do this evening,it started just fine after I cut it off,did that several times,had to run kids places this afternoon,didn't get a chance to fool with it anymore but I'll get with it in the morning,thanks for all the help
