Stall and gears would help out a ton. Holley has a ton of good videos on youtube on how to tune a carb. Did you degree the cam when you intalled it? What about timing? A degree or two either way can really make a difference. What is your air cleaner setup?

Currently running a 2500 stall however I don't think it's enough,if I buy another one I may just swap out the tranny to a turbo 350,to be honost I can't remember off the top of head what we set the timing exactly at,I know it's advanced pretty good,I'll have to get my timing light back out & try & fix the end ( plug wire ) melted on the header

Mixture screws only effect idle. Dont go by sound. If you dont have a wideband, hook up a cheap vacuum gauge and adjust the mixture screws to max vacuum at idle. 650 carb sounds like it could be a restriction but i dont know anything about that head/cam combo. I ran a quick fuel 850 on a stock bottom 6.0. The 650 should be pretty dang snappy at part throttle cruising. Get a wideband to tune your jets.

Whats your timing at?

Also I don't know exactly where my timing is at this point, the clip that goes on #1 got hot & melted some so I'm either gonna ha e to buy another gun or see if I can find another harness for the one I have,I won't be able to work on it until later tonight after work or early in the morning

Get your jetting and timing dialed in and go from there. Loosen up the stall and toss some gears in. If it still sucks maybe do 100 shot or something.

Sounds about right to me. How does she crank up after she's hot? Not too familiar with carbs anymore is it vacuum secondary's or mechanical.
