Hey guys,

Thanks for the info!

GM discount is up by the end of the year, so that excuses the SS early this spring.

The I-6 can get up to 7k, WOW. Unfortunately, I was not able to reach that limit during the test drive, only about 6K. I did however get to open up the 5.3L and the engines perform a little differently.

I would not be surprised if the Rainer runs in the mid to low 15's maybe even upper 14's in the quarter (with a good 60') stock.

check out the post "2004 buick rainier". i've had mine for one year now and love it. When i got mine it just came out. I drove the envoy for weeks, the buick wasn't out yet. So i was going to settle for the gmc. Then the rainier came out and drove that and it was night and day! The same body with nicer interior and classier looks and a lot quieter inside with magnaflow ehx.! plus i average 14-16mpg around town with the 5.3! I ran the buick stock on the g-tech and it did a 14.9 1/4! This truck is quick and i'll be doing a tune on it next week with the hp-tuner software! I also have a custome cold air box and 18x8.5 torque trust wraped in 275/55r18's, what a huge difference in the stance! Plus dual oveled ehx. tips. This truck goes and when the computer is unlooked i'm sure it will be a solid 14sec. truck. Plus it is full time all-wheel drive! I did also rebuild the trans tight and put a trans-go shift kit in to handle the missing torque manegment!!!!!

Go with the RAINER. Peronally I think it is a little nicer looking than the ENVOY. Plus you won't see as many RAINER's on the road as you will TB & Envoys. If you live in a metropolitain area it gets tiring seeing your car everywhere you look.

There is no substitute for this V8. I recently towed my 24 foot BAJA (4,440 lbs without fuel, trailer, gear etc..) from Deleware to Fredericksburg, VA. I was floored at how easily the little 5.3 pulled that sucker.
