Hey, have you had any trans. problems with all of your Touque Mgt. removed?
I had 80% removed, and now I hear a loud "clunk" each time my trans. shifts gears, so I dropped the trans and looked over all innards and stuff looks great....just sounds bad.

No, I haven't had any problems... yet. I've the new tune only for about a week. I did have the 80% removed tune for 10 months before that. I also just had my tranny rebuilt about a month ago.

i have a '00 ECSB 5.3, 3.42's, G80.
hypercrapper
K&N Fipk
255/70/16 liberator allterrains.
mine will spin pretty good from a dead stop up to 30mph.
and will power brake really easy.
but it is probably just the cheap tires. the back ones are pushing to be replaced! i dont get on the interstate if it rains thats just asking for trouble!

I've done a few brake stands before but I always wondered, what kind of abuse does the rear brakes receive? I'm assuming that the pads wear quicker but could it damage the calipers and rotors?

I have about 10,000 miles on my stock tranny now with the mods listed below and no Tq Mgt. It will still chirp them in 2nd and still shifts hard (knock on wood ) Only thing I have done is bumped up the line pressure for firmer shift up top and shift a 6200 RPM. BTW when is a good time to change your tranny fluid, I am at 25000 miles.

I only hold the brake to build boost and let it go when i floor it. So there's no wear on the break pad. I know i'm a smart ***.

I use line lock when doing a burn out. When building boost I actually hold the break to the floor and then floor the gas at the same time. At first I could build no boost. But then I did a set of Hawk pads in the rear and now I can break boost it to 9# on street tires. If you are looking for help doing a burnout, get some line locks. Problem solved.
