Default Best exhaust?

What is the best exhaust for my 2010 Silverado? I was think about dual exhaust, just tell me what you think, I want to know best sound and what hp gains I might get.

The way that these modern trucks are factory tuned, you are not going to get a lot of HP gains out of an exhaust system. Exhaust systems will simply further enhance other mods (like LT headers, cam, etc) you have installed, IMHO. From what I've read, SI/SO exhausts work better for mostly stock engines. Duals are better for heavily modded engines.

If you get a system that is TOO free flowing on a mostly stock engine, you can lose too much backpressure and lose a lot of torque...making your truck feel slower.

Search "drone", "Corsa", "exhaust clips", etc. on here and you should find several good ideas.

I've got a Magnaflow 12589 and it is awesome. Loud on WOT, quiet at cruise, no drone.

You do NOT WANT BACKPRESSURE. You want exhaust velocity.

Here's a link...very technical, but good. I was trying to keep it simple in my post above. I assumed the OP was a newbie to trucks, so I kept it straightforward. Your point is VERY true.
