ATI Procharger

Aight this is the deal, right now I'm running on a stock 4.8, but I plan on building a 408 stroker motor. Should I buy the procharger now, use it on my stoke motor and then after I build the new one have a sure enough bad a$$ ride? Or would the ATI procharger not be very good on a stock 4.8??

Go ahead and get the Blower If your plannning on building the Kit for for bigger motor
I would say just But the Blower and blower braket
make your own intercooler and buy yourself a a gss340 Inline fuel pump some Larger injectors
and a copy of ls1 edit
You'll Save some Cash on the kit buy buying just what you need
Get at least a D1-sc head unit or even an F1 unit for the 408 motor

The head unit alone is about $2100. To do a custom kit is may be cheaper to buy the complete system and sell what you don't need. I would at least go with the D-1SC to feed the stroker. The kit would also work on the stock motor. The head unit upgrade is usually recommended if the motor has been modified (headers/exhaust for example) or if you are at a high elevation. Your a pulley swap away from more boost in the future.

I appreciate the info, is the intercooler that comes with the kit not efficient enough? It comes with a 2-core, I was just going to use that, on both motors...

If you going to Feed that monster engine
You'll need a larger cooler for sure
You will Gain in my guess 1-2lbs of boost Because of the location and size of the stock cooler
that's why I'm making my own
