ARH + 4" Duramax exhaust
#61
Hey check your local parts store or exhaust shop. I have a tip on mine that is packed with something like a muffler it made a good bit of difference on my truck when I put it on kinda smoothed it out and a little more mellow of a tone. Sorry cant remember the brand but they do exist and do help out.

Well, I found a tip that may be what I need. It's made by Flo-Pro. Double walled, slant cut, resonated, 4" inlet 5" outlet, 13 inches long, stainless. Coming out of Florida for $52.48 shipped(to Alaska). It should be here in a week or so, hopefully my transmission will be fixed by then.
I'll post up my results, good or bad.

I still haven't gone WOT, so I don't really know. Trying to give the new tranny a decent break in period. I'll find out this weekend though.
It does seem a bit more wicked than before. 1/2 throttle put me sideways last night when I wasn't expecting it.

I know all too well what your talkin bout on the weird sound this setup has.I will get a part number for the muffler I used in place that sounds soooooo much better.Thats not my opinion its a fact you will not regret swaping the mufflers.

< Your right but, that wasent so much directed towards you as the public in general.Im one those guys that trys to know it all but, cant hardly explain what I mean if that makes sense?Gettin better though I was pretty proud you heard the same thing I heard/explained.Anyways,I reccomend not using more mufflers in a attempt to change the exhaust to your liking.Theres gotta be one you can slap on to get what you want.I could sell mine if you want but, shippings prolly a bitch.I'll see bout that part number for you atleast.

Don't worry about it, I didn't take it the wrong way. It made me laugh!
Anyways, do you have a sound clip of your setup? And a brand & part number would be great. Give me something to look into if I decide to change the setup.
