Default anyone think the nitto 555r 305/45/18 will fit?

i want to really RIP out of the hole, thinking like 1.4's some day, not sure if it is posiable but i think these tires might just do it.

thinking about running all 4 corners with that size, anyone know if they will fit? i dont care if they rub on turns or whatever. they are 29" tall wich should be good enuff, have to rotate them alot to keep even wear. only be able to warm the rears but i bet it would really stick out of the hole.

soo, bad idea or good idea? might have to drop the truck a little more to look right.

Well if they are 29 inches tall i think that wouldn't be to much of a problem. I have 285 all terrain the are like 32.9 inches tall and only rub when i am in a tight turn backing up is all on the drivers side. I had them drag radials on my mustang and for a street tire that last longet the e.t. streets they work pretty good.

Parish, that's the exact tire I am planning to run on some 18x9.5" centerlines, they sound like a better choice than my 255/50/16 BFG Drag radials.I run 29" Toyos on the street 255/60/17 Proxus, they do look a little short in the fender wells,I've always cared more about function than looks.

They fit I'm running them right now with my boyd Coddington smoothie 2's
they are nice and fluch with the side of the body and don't stick out
the tires are great when they are hot no so good when they're really cold

The tires rubbing on the front will depend more on your wheel's backspacing than the tire size.My front tires rubbed with stock alloy wheels and 255/65/16 tires but not with my 17x8" Centerlines and 255/60/17s,the Centerlines have a 5" backspacing.

I have a friend that had an 02 Sierra dropped 2/4 with 295/45 on 18x9.5 Centerline Sunrays without any problems. The 305 has a negligable size difference from the 295 so I dont forsee any problems as long as you get the correct backspacing, as Whitt said, on you new rims. I believe my friend's was 5" but I am not totally certian on that.

My friend runs those on his turbo integra and I spose if you wanted to run them double duty, street and strip, they'd be ok, although they will wear fast, they'll hook better than regular street tires but not nearly as well as a real slick would.

I have the 295/45-18 for the front 305/45-18 for the rear awaiting 18x10 rims I'm having made.

with a 6" backspace up front they should fit flush or just stick out a wee bit.
I would recomend 18x10. There really wide.
That is unless the 4x4 suspension is differant dimensions than my 2wd. The only thing the rim/tire comes close to rubbing on in the front is the front side of the upper control arm.

another thing, there directional so I don't know how well rotating them will work out.

In real life there actually closer to 28.5 but shouldn't affect caculations by much. you can see in my other post I have a pic of a 305 sitting next to my 28x11.50-16 and there the same height.

wow, lots of great info. sounding like they will fit if i go that route. i bet i would hook like mad with 2 warm ones in the rear and 2 cold ones up front.

next question is how do i get my truck lower? i droped about 1" up front and 3" in the back but i want more if i go with tires that short. time to do a search on that.
