Anyone with a predator? HELP!!!
#1
Ok downloaded a "revised custom program" from James at running with the devil to my predator. Went to install it into truck and it downloaded only 70% of it. I start download again and it downloads 4% so I tried it again and it says " no response from PCM. is ignition on?"
well of course it is on!! so i tried it multiple times and it does the same thing. Even re-downloaded the program on my predator from my computer..... and unhooked my battery cable for 15 minutes and still no dice.
Not to metion truck won't start!! I think i might be sick
He said I might have to ship the PCM to him so he can look at it. Anyone with any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Go into and do the saved data program. Then try it and take about 15 seconds in between steps. As in after it finishes one thing wait 15 seconds before you try it again. It happened to me before as well. Load your saved data and then send it back.

I can't get to the "saved data program" That requires communication between my PCM and the predator and the predator (when i go into the tune section) just gives me a "no response. Is ignition on?"

Ya my truck is under an extended warrenty...Hopefully it won't cost anything to get it reflashed, but who knows. Better than not moving
Would warrenty cover it or should i just keep my mouth shut and say "It just wouldn't start"

I just Fried mine the last week, did the same thing. They could not reflash the computer at the dealership, so new computer I got, $411.28
I accidently turned off the ignition while it was programming, I don't know what the hell I was thinking. My friend fried his, and they were able to reprogram his with a flash from the factory. When I computers mess up, the predator has to have the ignition on to work, to identify the vin, and it is part of the reprogramming setup. When the computer messes up, it deactivates the ignition. The programmer that they use at the dealerships doesn't need the ignition on, so they can reflash it to a factory setting. They charged my friend $65 for the reflash since they have a one hour minimum labor at the dealership!

Ok so does a GM dealership have to flash it or can a autodiagnostics place do it. I am having it towed in the morning to a place so they can look at it.
