Default Anybody wanna see inside of a TBSS / NNBS intake manifold?

Just thought I'd post up a few quick pics I took of a cut-away TBSS / NNBS intake manifold that GM had at the North American International Auto Show here in Detroit a couple of weeks ago...

Nothing too detailed, but I found it interesting, personally.
Maybe kind of a peek at possibly what some of these people are trying to "Port" when they cut these in half and epoxy them back together. I know just from other pics I've seen of these "ported" intakes, looking down the throat they take off some areas of the side of the "half-pipe" and into the runners...

anyway, here they are:

yeah, that's what I thought too.

Nice solid paint job inside and out and chrome steam plug on the head, haha.
I wonder how many people think that pistons and cranks and everything else inside of a motor is chrome plated and polished because of these displays by all the big manufacturers... ford and benz was the same way too...

ah, so was it you who ended up buying the one in the classified section??

Have any more photos? Maybe some of the sections that were cut and epoxied? Just curious which contours the LS2portworks guy cut along... Not that I'd ever attempt that on my own, seems more intimidating to me personally that hand porting some heads I've done before!
