Default 6.2L conversion question

Hey guys been a long time since I posted, a buddy of mine at work is wanting to do a 6.2L swap in his 99 rcsb, and we were discussing different options and mods to perform, my question is this, I know in 2005 LS2's had the 24x crank reluctor and 1x cam reluctor, wouldn't it be possible to put those in a 6.2 and just use the factory operating system? I know the harness may have to be modified to compensate for the different cam sensor location. Any input would be appreciated.

Yes, or use the Lingenfelter 58x/4x to 24x/1x conversion box.. Either tact will work.

just get the ligenfelter conversion box. it takes the 58x signal and makes it a 24x

Why not get a LQ4/9 block, and bore 4.065 use stock LS2/3 rods, LS3/92 pistons. and still use your harness.

Thanks for the input guys, I thought it should work, I have done several LS swaps in the past, this is my buddies first so he is just weighing out his options.
