Do the 6.0. N/A or boosted, it will be better.

Yea Im kinda curious to know also why people thinks its better for both N/A and FI. I've been wondering lately of the 6.0l is over-rated....

Pretty simple, it's bigger. You get more power and torque for the same weight. 366 cubes vs. 325 cubes.

A nice Ly6 6.0 would be the best IMO.

No replacement for displacement. Also less valve shrouding with the bigger bore.

My buddy has a 99 Silverado it had a 5.3 with a mild TR cam, shorty headers, and tuned for E85, At 200,000 a compcam valve spring broke(only 35,000 miles of use on the springs) in the 5.3. So we put in a stock LQ9 with the same shorty headers and running on E85, no cam. The 6.0l is around .75 quicker 0-60 and has way more lowend torque. The 5.3 struggled to spin his 285s from a stop, even with a yank 3000 converter and the 6.0l will break them loose at a 15mph roll.

He didn't know any better at the time he bought the shorties. The plan is to put my LT's on his truck when I turbo mine.
