what do you call a good 6.0? I am getting a LQ9 which I won on ebay and I am wanting to just port the heads and throw my curent cam in or a little bit bigger one. Later on down the road I would like to build a 427 stroker out of it.

Now if I was to do it over again, I would have swapped for a 6.0L right of the bat, instead of spending money on the little things. Also if I was to pick a cam for the 6.0L I would go a little bigger.

Man,thats exactly my feeling.I messed with bolt-ons exhaust little things that added up to $ and little HP or gains.Had I gone straight to the swap and did a cam with 218/560 114LC.I would be futher along and saved many $ during trial and error.

2wd Escalades came with 5.3's ..................so long as it is a standard AWD it should have a 6.0 LQ9.

Why do all of my threads get jacked?

BACK ON MY TOPIC, the only reason I'm considering not getting a 6.0L, is the weak POS 4l60e. How much can it take in a RCSC, high 12's?

What other way is there to get in the 12s and not beat on the trans? As you may or may not have figured out ,some people have good luck with the 4l60 and others do not.

Good point, I just need to get a shift kit and a few other things for the tranny. Besides, a RC doesn't weigh that much anyway. Now to find a 6.0L
