If I had to have a new LQ9 I would go with Spauldings dismantler and get a 3mi pull out for $2500.My 8mi 4L65E for $1K has been spot on.

 

What is this "Spauldings" dismantler? Why do engines get pulled out with 3 miles? Can you hook me up with these folks?

I'm going to build something this winter but don't know whether it will be a cam/head in this 5.3, or a 6 liter or a 402.

I checked not long ago and I could have swore they had a 3mi LQ9 for $2500,I see they have one for $2800 and a LQ4 3mi for $2500,I think they are workable,now when I bought my 4L65E he charged me $75 core charge.I believe they are buying damaged vehicals from GM,ones damaged during transport,atleast that is what I gathered.There was another outfit in the midwest doing the same thing and there prices where similiar.

 

Any idea what the name of the midwest place was? Sure would appreciate it. Thanks, Jim
