Default 6.0 questions?

I have a friend who said he can get a 6.0 out of a 2005 truck with really low miles and a really good price. Just so I know can you help me out with what to look for as far as what 6.0's are good, what is the price I can expect to pay for a complete engine without the transmission? Also if you could include any other advice that might be helpful I would appreciate it. Thanks, Brad

2300-2400, but you already have a v8 so why not get a longblock from anywhere from 600-1600. Plus a 2005 has electonic throttle contol and you have drive by cable so you would have to buy the electronic pedal assembly or just swap out throttle bodys!

You can reuse your intake and all the accesories. All you need is the long block. I wouldnt give more than $1500 for the long block and only if you see what it was in and how many miles are on it. You will want to verify it is a LQ4 or LQ9, the year, and if it was running or still runs.

I got a BRAND NEW 05 long block on ebay for $1000 shipped. It had never even had oil in it. Watch for a deal if you're not in a hurry. If your buddy says $1000 and everything looks good, go for it.

Well what is the complete story on the long block that you have for sale. What all is included? Send me the link to the Ebay listing. My friend did not tell me a price yet so I might be interested in yours. Let me know.

I think he meant he previously bought a long block off eBay for $1000

I recently just bougt a 2005 6.0 lq4 with 15k on it for 1300 shipped. It was a good find I think, most go for about 1600 or more with that little miles.
