Default 6.0 keeps blowing exhaust donut...

My bro has a '99 6.0 truck and it has blown out 3 exhaust donuts, all on the passenger side header. Anybody know of a good brand to try? Or should he just weld that bitch up solid?

Does he have a bad cat on that side? Maybe it's building alot of pressure on that side and causing problems with the gaskets.

That does not sound normal at all. I think you should have his exhaust system checked out! Could have a plugged cat!

It doesn't show signs of a plugged cat...no codes thrown, truck runs good, but I guess it could be partially clogged? His truck has been troublesome on the passenger side exhaust. A couple years ago the manifold cracked (common on early 6.0's) and the dealer broke the bolts off in the head when they were trying to take it off, he ended up with a new pass-side head & manifold. All the donut blowouts started happening after that.

Do these flexible joints work any good?

He drives it pretty hard on rough ranch roads, so I think that all the vibrations and body flex are causing alot of his problems.
