I am just trying to work off what I have. just ordered a 2004 chevy reg. cab 2wd. The thing is I get such a good deal from chevy, my company I work for is a fleet buyer. So I got a 5.3 liter radix supercharged, 4.10 gears, asm headers, exhaust, and posi unit. Just trying to figure out which way I need to go to keep up with those damn ricers around here. Like to keep the stock block going and I will also drive what ever setup everyday. All above comes from CST. partners with ASM.

You have problems with Ricers with that truck you have? Maybe a turbo Supra, 300ZX TT, RX7, or a WRX would pose a threat with minor mods...but most of the "Uncle Bens" variety around here are body kits and fart pipes.

Why dont you put you future mods on hold until you can be a man and keep your word.

Hit Man .. I was considering 8.5-9:1 CR with about 12psi or better depending on what the RADIX can push.
Another reason for going forged is just for piece of mind. I would like to spin it up to 6500-7000. I really wanted something I won't have to ring and replace bearings as common maintenance and not have to worry about problems on the bottom end.

Yeah 12psi would make me warrant the cost of a forged crank. Built it once, built it right...make sure what you may eventually do will hold up.
You gonna run that stock compressor? If so, have you considered having it reworked (have it torn down, ported, balanced, etc)?
