No I don't ever plan to run 4x4 around town just for the fun of it. Leaving hot from a light in 4x4 would be fun tho. I have Kryptonite tierods, double sheer idler arm, Cognito pitman arm support, and a red head box so steering I am not concerned about. Diff and T case were both rebuilt about 2 years ago as well. I was more concerned about the OEM drive shafts.

The main killers are real high/hard clutch dumps, and wheel hop. If you avoid those the axles can take a ton of power. So yeah a slip/roll on should be fine.

There is supposed to be some magic tcase that is AWD with a lockable low range. I don't know if the 32 spline adapter is compatible with it. If so that sounds like the holy grail to me.

I have a feeling I will need limit straps for the front it has so much down travel the CVs nearly come out of place. However at ride height the steering and CV angles are pretty flat.

Huh I haven't heard of that unicorn yet. I really just prefer a floor shift box I've never had any problems with it and I've used 4x4 hi/low in dirt under high load and power many times without failure. Ole girl loved pulling a trailer or truck through sugar sand.

weaksauce! if you double-clutched & didn't shift like a *****, you could've at least pulled off a slow-***** 9.67 @ 70 like my inexperienced butt.

going straight's fine

just call the same guy that makes the 32spline inputs for 4L80 swaps. the NP149 is what you need if you're wanting AWD.
