Radio wasn't on nor was the AC I had the windows down enjoying the cooler air and blower whine. Maybe I need to look back at HPT and see what commanded AFR was I thought it was low 12s maybe I am wrong and that was the cause. Didn't hear any knock whatsoever everything sounded great, until It didn't of course. Just filled up with fresh 93 as well.

I'm sorta leaning towards maybe an out of round cylinder. Its burned oil since I put it together and I've never figured out why. When I got the motor originally it had a bad cam bearing and both heads were cracked between every valve so it must have gotten nuclear hot. The machine shop I used seemed to be knowledgeable but then went out of business a few weeks after I paid and picked up my parts.

Gonna scope the cylinders tonight and maybe get a better idea. With any luck I can save the heads and get a forged short block this time with a warranty.

If it did then I will probably bump it up to a slightly more aggressive cam. Need to figure out if its trashed sooner than later since cams are cheap right now.

Pulled plugs, drained oil and borescope the cylinders. Plugs are to my surprise all intact as are the pistons. I saw no damage. Oil looked okay drain plug had very little fuzz compared to what I had imagined. No chunks in oil filter either.

Well damn.

I do see some glitter in the bottom of the oil filter though.

I like to take a flash light and look at the oil I drained out. The oil you drained into a pan, hit it with a flash light and look for a river of glitter.

I did and it has a little sparkle but nothing more than it did on the first oil change. (Of course the bearings probably been dying since the first startup)

In all seriousness I spoke to a local shop today with a good reputation. They will take apart this 6.0 and salvage everything they can. (ARP hardware, heads and maybe with a little luck the cam)
I'm torn between using an OEM crank and building a 370 with forged rods and pistons or bite the bullet and build a 408. I'm fine with limiting its life span a little due to potential piston skirt wear.
I know a tvs1900 is small for a 408 but I wouldn't be opposed to finding a bigger blower down the road or even switching to a turbo eventually.

poor 1900!
friend of mine's vette took a lot to make 700 on his 402 with a 2300.
my LS1's just under 700 with a 2300 & also took a lot of help... so good luck.

LSA 1900s def punch above their weight class. Not sure about "other" 1900s, but I wouldn't have had an issue with my build if I followed through with it
