#1
Let me start off by saying im kind of a newb to performance, and want your honest opinions. I would also like to see what you think my truck should run in the 1/4 mile. i will post what i had in my truck before when i ran in at no problem raceway in donaldsonville, LA to now.
Before
4.8L iron block with 6L cam
tune
vette servo
envoy converter
stock intake
pacestter long tubes/ory
456s w/g80
truck was stock ride height, on stock 17s
ran a 15.5 personal best
Now
5.3L iron block with LS6 2002 Z0 cam, 204/218 Duration @ 0.050
ls6 valve springs
k&n cai
ls1 efans
asp underdrive pullies
vette servo
envoy converter
pacesetter long tubes/ory
456s w/ g80
I have a Hayden Trans Saver 26000 gvw (biggest they make) im about to install.
truck sits at 3/6 on ltz 20s with a 275/45/20
what do you think my truck should run now with this little updates and the bigger motor, im thinking low 14s, possible 13s, im not sure. I will be going soon i hope to see, and will be on 20s. Also, when I get the money together I would like to put in a 3200 stall and a tsp or tr220 cam with hardened pushrods and valve springs, what kind of gains am i looking at compared to what I have now?? thanks for your time.

Take it to the track! No one here knows! Why have us guess? Going to the track for the first time can be intimidating I know, but you will get the hang of it real quick.
Here are a few good tips:
1. If your on radials DON'T TRY TO DO A JOHN FORCE BURNOUT! Drive around the water box and try to keep your tires as dry as possible...
2. Make sure you line up your "FRONT" wheels with the staging beams (not your back ones) classic new guy to the track mistake but you will be the *** of the tower guys jokes all night if you do this.
3. Try to line up against ricers it will boost your confidence, and **** them off!
I lined up on a civic SI one time that the kid thought was fast (his buddies wanted him to smoke a truck), after I waxed him he never even came back around. Just made a right turn and went right back to town LOL...
