5.3 tb work on a ls6 intake?
#1
searched and found nothing. Will a TB off a '01 5.3 work on a ls6 intake? I heard that the vaccum tube gets in the way of the throttle bracket. Tru? Or should i get a ls1/6 TB?

In the ls6 intake swap write up I didn't see any mention of having problems using a Truck TB

yes. But I believe it will have a smaller inner diameter of the LS6 intake.
LS6/1 intakes have ~78mm intake opening. I think the trucks were a bit smaller. Might as well go to a up pull-it and get one from a camaro or something. Do you need drive by wire? If so I believe the LQ4 or LQ9 trucks had the same inner diameter of the LS6. Don't quote me though. It was either the same as the LS6 or LS2 (90mm).

All of the truck throttle bodies (4.8 through 6.0) were the same size (78mm), prior to the switch to the LS2 style intake. Not sure if they'll bolt directly up to the LS6 intake though, but I believe that they will.

Yes, they it will fit. I replaced my stock tb with the bbk tb way back in the day when the truck intake was still on the engine. During the swap, I reinstallled the bbk onto the LS6 intake with no issues.
