Question 5.3 swap to 6.0 ect

Was this a swap that you would do again?
Did it all go throught nice and easy bolt up right ?
Are the wire harness's all the same?
I have a 04 gmc sierra 4x4 and i was thinking about a 6.0 ss motor.
Is it trou that the ss motor's are 6.0 350hp?
Thanks

I wish I would have done it 3 years ago and would do it again in a heartbeat..
it was very simple..
used my 5.3 wiring harness.. no problems..
SS 6.0 which is the lq9 makes 345HP...

helped my buddy do his. the only problem we had is the fuel lines on his 00 intake were different than the fuel lines on the 04 intake. also, there was a black plastic sensor on the top of the rear of the block that had to be changed. other than that, it was a direct swap.

Don't worry about swapping out the ENTIRE motor. You're only swapping out the heads/block and that's it.

Search a little more, LOTS of the componets are the same. Same part No. same specs. same size, same bolt pattern.
