Cool 5.3 RCSB Times

I'm waiting on a Denny's driveshaft for the Z28 so I raced the truck tonight. Full weight, briefcase, sub ect. 15.09 @ 89.42 mph with a 2.26 60'. Other runs were 15.18, 15.19, and 15.23. If I had been racing the truck last weekend, prolly would have run a 14 something. Only mod is a UPD. Not bad for a non posi rear pedaling it out of the hole. Moose you are going to have to take the Hemi out of retirement to get iced by the little white refrigerator.

Thats good news to me.......I have the same truck w/ the UPD only (does yours have the locking diff?) with full exhaust, Yank3000 stall, and Predator tuning.......I havent got to make any passes with it tho.......I would think my mods would shave off at least .75 to a second.

Nice run!

I don't have a locking diff. Traction is tough to come by with only one tire putting the power to the ground. Will be getting an Eaton posi soon. Race weight was about 4550 lbs. 03GMC your truck should be a low 14 second ride with your mods and good air. Now where is Moose and his Hemi. :p

I like it alot, I got it mainly b/c It was a complete kit that I could install myself w/no welding or cutting and it was made of high quality stainless, had high flow cats etc. My only gripe is that the pass. side header hits the frame sometimes when the motor torques......when I get some time I'll have to take it back off and dimple that area a bit so it doesnt rub. Its nothing that hurts the header (I've whacked at it with hard peice of aluminum , pryed at it with a pry bar etc and those things dont even come close to bending) - but its just an annoyance. I've called Dynatech and spoken with 2 different techs about it and they are apologetic and say they have not heard of that problem before, and they said it wouldn't hurt to try and bend it right there a bit, but its not budging.

did you get that pass off at MIR? I made one pass off at capitol with my 00 rcsb and got a 15.28 @87 bone stock. and that was in the begining of june so air really wasnt too great. You definately should squeeze out some high 14's

No it was at Capital, and the conditions weren't as good as last Friday when I ran a new best in my car. I'm trying to get the truck in the 14's as it sits.
